Beautiful Flowers Wedding Card

Whenever I create a wedding card I try to find out the colors the bride is using for her reception. This soft blush peachy pink is beautiful with the sage green leaves. Add a pretty gold mirror sentiment and you have a love card.

This flower image by Simon Says Stamp is large so for this card I decided to make a long card so that the entire flower stamp could be used. The card turned out to be 8 1/2 x 4.

You Were Born – I Like That Birthday

I have a sweet young friend who is turning 16. I thought Penny Black’s About Town would be the perfect image for her. I used a Copic friendly pen to extend the hair, since Emma has longer hair. Her favorite color is pink, and what girls doesn’t want a pink car.

Ink Blended Champagne Poinsettia

I saw this beautiful stamp set part of Simon Says Stamptember and knew that it would only be available for a short period of time. I decided to make it look it a champagne poinsettia. For this one I stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with white. I used Gina K. Designs Inks to ink blend the image. It turned out lovely.

Joy to the World Ink Blended Edges

This time I decided to use only Altenew Inks to ink blend the edges to the “Joy” panel and like it much better. I think this is the card I am going to create for this year’s Christmas card.

Products Used:

  • Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas

Joy to the World Oxide Blended Edges

This time I decided not to use the background word stamp. I wanted to set off the “Joy” panel from the cardbase and so I ink blended it with Distress Oxide Inks, but it was too muted for my taste, so I also used some Altenew Inks and like it much better.

Products Used:

  • Spellbinder Joy Die
  • Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas
  • Distress Oxide Inks: Barn Door and Candied Apple
  • Altenew Inks: Jet Black and Velvet
  • Copic Markers: R89, G46, YG99

Joy to the World Red and Gold

I usually make several renditions of my Christmas cards before I finally settle on one. This time I made the card the same as the previous one, but with a red background. At first I added red rhinestones, but it still needed something more and so once again I colored it with Copic Markers, but only the leaves and poinsettias.

  • Spellbinder Joy Die
  • Hero Arts Noel Prints Background
  • Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas
  • VersaMark Ink
  • Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder

Joy to the Word Cream, Red and Gold

This is another card loosely based on a card by Nicole Spohr. I cannot take the time to die cut all the leaves, branches, and poinsettias when I’m mass producing my Christmas Cards. At first I left it plain, but it just needed something more, so I pulled out my Copic Markers and colored them instead. Much faster than die cutting everything.

Products Used:

  • Spellbinder Joy Die
  • Hero Arts Noel Prints Background
  • Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas
  • VersaMark Ink
  • Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder
  • Copic Markers: G46, YG99, R89

Wishing You the Joy of the Season Poinsettia

I’ve started working on my Christmas cards for 2019. I sent out over 100 handmade cards, so I need to start early. The first card I created was patterned after a card I saw Nicole Spohr create. I liked the two poinsettias at the top, but the background words were upside down, so I had to turn it around. Both are nice.
