Marble Background Cheerful Daisy Birthday

The yellows in this marble background reminded me of daisies, so I pulled out the Altenew’s Spring Daisy Stamp Set and Dies. Stamped them with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. The same was done for the leaves on green marble background paper.

For the center of the flowers I used Copic Markers YR27, YR24, YR23. It really made them pop.

I wanted to add some visual interest behind the flowers, so I pulled out this Flower Grid Background from China. I love the way the yellow cardbase peeks through the pattern.

Such a bright and cheerful card and it didn’t take long to create.

Marbled Background Wallpaper Art Floral Birthday

For this card I decided to stamp on some of the marbled background with VersaMark Ink and heat emboss with gold embossing powder. There is enough variation in color of the marble background that it could make a pretty flower. The same was done for the leaves.

I decided to use gold mirror cardstock to die cut Altenew’s Watercolor Strips die. I felt it would accent the gold embossing on the flower and leaves.

I used liquid glue to adhere the striped background to a top folding card and then determined placement of the flower and leaves to know where to stamp the sentiment.

I am happy with the way the card turned out.

Marble Background Shaker Balloon

I didn’t want to cover up this gorgeous marble background and so I decided to create a balloon shaker card using Birch Press Designs’ Party Balloon. I wanted the pretty turquoise cardstock to be the cardbase and wanted to have a border around the marble background, so I cut the back with a My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle.

I used two of the dies to create the balloon frame. I added acetate to the back of the frame with liquid glue and then added a double layer of 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape, cut down to be thin enough to not be seen behind the frame.

I used a generous amount of sequins from Doodlebug Designs, along with some white seed beads. I tied some white thread to the bottom of the balloon and then adhered it over the top of the sequins. I wrapped the balloon string to the back of the card and secured it with some Scotch Tape. I die cut the word happy from the same turquoise cardstock and added some sticky back foam for dimension. I used my scissors to cutout a thin strip in the fun foam to allow the balloon string to lay flat.

I stamped a secondary sentiment under the word happy using Gina K. Designs Tranquil Teal Ink and adhered the focal image panel to the turquoise cardbase with dotliner adhesive.

Marble Background Birthday Cupcake

This marble background was more of an olive green than the last one and I felt that gold accents would be the perfect additional. I used gold mirror cardstock to cut the sentiment and the cupcake from Simon says Stamp Birthday Circle.

I die cut some sticky back foal to but behind the sentiment, but you could see the white and it just didn’t look good, so I pulled out the YR27 Copic Marker and colored the foam. Now whatever peeks out has a pretty gold hue.

Marble Background Birthday Balloon Bouquet

This multi-colored green background to me seemed to lend itself to a masculine birthday card. I pulled out Simon Says Stamp Balloon Bouquet for the focal image. I wanted something that would contrast with the marble background so it wouldn’t get lost and decided to use my Copic Refills to color some glossy photo paper with the darkest shades of the green used in the background.

I die cut the balloon bouquet from the marble background and inlaid the darker green pieces. I always used a more ombre portion of the paper to die cut the sentiment. I added sticky back foam for added visual interest behind the sentiment and stamped a secondary sentiment underneath using Gina K. Designs Grass Ink.

I decided to use My Favorite Things Stitched Mod Rectangle for the cardbase, but I didn’t have the right color of green to match so I used the darkest green Copic Marker to color the edge and it worked out perfectly.

I decided to fussy cut the cardbase to match the shape of the mod rectangle and the card was done.

Have a Sweet Day Julia

I needed to create a birthday card for Julia, but all of my girls images have long hair and Julia has a very short pixie cut. So, I pulled the image into my Silhouette and modified the image to remove the long ponytail and bow. It looks so much like her.

Her favorite colors are pink and black and so that is the colors I used to color the image. I mounted the focal image panel onto a black cardbase, added a few pink and black sequins and the card was done.

Took a bit of time to modify the image, but it was so worth it to have it be perfect for Julia.

Marble Background Fantasy Floral Birthday

I had created some watercolor backgrounds that were different shades of pink. I thought that it would make some beautiful 3D flowers, so I pulled out Altenew’s Fantasy Floral and die cut the layers, adhered them together with liquid glue. I had some green background that I thought would go good with the deep pink color and I used it to die cut the leaves.

I decided to use Gina Marie Designs’ Looped Lace Rectangle. Since I had stamped and embossed the sentiment in gold I decided to add a gold back behind the lacy background.

At the very end I decided it needed one more flower to balance out the arrangement, so I pulled out Altenew’s Garden Picks 3D dies and created the small flower at the bottom. I think it turned out beautiful. The picture doesn’t show how shiny and gorgeous the flowers are.

Marble Background Birthday Wishes Circle

I purchased this die cut from Simon Says Stamp awhile ago and decided to use it on this beautiful marble background. Love the gorgeous teal colors.

This is a clean and simple card. I die cut the sentiment circle three times from heavy weight cardstock and adhered them together the spray adhesive.

I decided to use My Favorite Things Stitched Tag Corner. When I used this die I like to cut my cardbase to match the shape. Easy to do with a guillotine cutter.

I liked the card, but it just had too much open space at the bottom, so I pulled out the darkest Copic Marker I used in the background and colored some photo paper, cut it into thin strips and added to the bottom. Like the results.

Marble Background Daisy Bouquet

This background is similar to the previous card. This time a cut it using a scalloped rectangle and decided to die cut this In/Out Daisy Bouquet. I first tried inlaying the daisy petals into the die with purple cardstock, but did like the way it look, so I used my Copic Markers to add shading, and that looked even worse. So I decided to die cut it again from white cardstock and lay it over the purple. You can see it peeking out once in a white, but I like that effect.

I added a purple die cut sentiment and white pearls to the center of each flower. Adhered the focal image panel to a top folding A2 cardbasee. Took a big of time, there are lot of petal and I did it twice, but I like the final product. Added Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen to make the petals shine and the card was done.

Marble Background Party Balloons Happy Birthday

For this marble background I used regular Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock. I love the blend of pink and purple. Since the background is so eye catching I decided to keep the rest of the card pretty simple. I die cut some balloons and a Happy Birthday sentiment from gold mirror cardstock, added some sticky back foam for dimension, tied some gold thread on the balloons and the card was done. Quick and easy card.
