Hydrangea Thinking of You

I love the way this card turned out. The pretty background die from Spellbinders matted with a light blue to match the color of the hydrangea is striking.

I printed the image onto Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. It was then die cut using the Divine Eloquence background die and then the sentiment was stamped in the open area beneath the flower.

I went through my scraps of cardstock to find the right light blue that would compliment the flowers and then cut it to the right size to fit behind the die cut focal image. The two were adhered together using liquid glue.

The focal image panel was then adhered to a top folding cardbase and blue sequins were scattered around the sentiment and flower and the card was done.

Hydrangea Counting My Blessings

We have a couple of hydrangea plants in our landscaping. Some are unique in that they can change colors depending on the pH of the soil it is planted in, ranging from blue to purple. Ours are mostly blue with a hint of purple, which is how I colored this image with Copic Markers.

Once coloring was complete I ran the image through the Big Shot with a stitched rectangle. To add additional visual interest I ran the front of the A2 cardbase through the Big Shot with a polka dot embossing folder.

The sentiment was created and cut in the Silhouette Cameo and adhered to the card front with foam tape.

Celebrate Your Special Day Peony

This peony image is from Just Ink Line Stamps. It was printed on Neena Classic Crest 80# White Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers.

When I searched on how to color the peony I saw one that was a pretty coral color with ivory tips and that is how I decided to color this image. I like the way it turned out. I fiddled with getting the right color for the coral and eventually used a lot of different R and RV Copic Markers, but I like the outcome.

The sentiment is from Sugar Pea Designs Celebrate All Things and was stamped with Gina K. Designs Amalgam Ink.

I like the look of white on white with my cards. It creates such a pretty clean and simple design. I die cut the focal image with a My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle and added Darice Sticky Back Foam to the back for dimension. It was adhered to a top folding cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock and the card was done.

Poppy Cluster Happy One Year Older Day

Poppies are such pretty flowers. I love the contrast from the bright red and the black centers. I know there are other colors of poppies, but red is my favorite.

I printed this image from Just Ink Line with a laser printer and colored it with Copic Markers, the die cut it using the Silhouette PIXScan Mat.

A rectangle of white cardstock was cut using Penny Blacks Swirly Stitched Rectangles and the focal image was adhered using liquid glue. The sentiment was stamped underneath and then sticky back foam was added to the back of the rectangle and it was adhered to a side fold A2 cardbase. A pretty clean and simple card.
