Celebrate Your Day Charlie Brown

I met my husband while he was playing Charlie Brown at summer stock theater. When I saw some cute Charlie Brown Peanut images on Coloring 4-Kids I couldn’t resist making some cards with them. This first card is the peanuts gang ready to play some ball. I colored it with Copic Markers, die cut it using the Silhouette Cameo and adhered it to an ink blended background. Wish his birthday wasn’t in October, but someone else from our generation will love it.

Vintage Truck Birthday II

This is another card I made from the vintage truck and balloons coloring page from BulkColor.com. As before, I pulled them into my Silhouette and merged the two images together and then printed it and then colored with Copic Markers. Since I had printed the image with registration marks I could send it through the Silhouette to cut around the image and adhered it to a card front. For the background I used the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday Embossing Folder. Another great guy birthday card done.

A Chunky Happy Birthday

I first stamped this image with Ink On 3 Fade Out Ink leaving this stamp in the MISTI because I wanted to Copic Color It. After I was done coloring it looked terrible, but I decided to add the gold embossing powder like I planned and it turned out amazing. Lesson learned, never throw something away until you have completed all the steps you had in mind.

Sailing Into a Happy Birthday

I wanted to use up the oval of navy cardstock I had left over from another card I made and thought that it would be a great background for this ship from Stampin’ Up’s The Open Sea. I paired it with Altenew’s Dotted Scaled Debossing Plate because it looks a little bit like waves, but I wanted some added dimension, so I inked the plate with navy ink before running it through the Big Shot. I really like the distressed look that it gave to the background.

A Happy Birthday Journey

This stamp reminds me of the old Ford pickup I learned to drive in. How I remember those days of trying to get the timing right for the clutch and gas. A lot of jerky moves until I finally mastered the art. I wanted to use an Altenew Layered Plaid Background Die, but the white was just too stark and so I ink blended the background with some Blue Denim Ink and really liked the outcome.
