Hooray It’s Your Day Birthday Tag

There are is some really great cardstock in the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Petite Paper Pack. This time I decided to keep it simple and pair a great diagonal rainbow paper with a simple tag.

I stamped a present using a light ink and colored it with Copic Markers. I then stamped it again with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. The sentiment is also from Winnie & Walter The Party and was added to the tag.

I decided to add a couple of orange strips to the tag pulling in the color on the present. The sentiment was stamped with some Grass Green Ink from Gina K. Designs. Some jute twine was added to the top of the tag, which was adhered it to the card front using 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape on an angle.

A quick and easy card.

Christmas Gift Box Tag

I completed my Christmas baking and needed some tags to add to the gift boxes. I’ve had this cute image from Darcies Heart for quite sometime, and since I had some mini cupcakes in my Christmas treats I thought it would be perfect. I pretty much followed the coloring shown on the packaging using Copic Markers. It didn’t have a matching die so I used my Silhouette PIXScan Mat to cut out the images, added some 3M Foam Tape to add dimension and adhered them to a tag cut with Neat & Tangled’s Classic Tag 1. Stamped a sentiment from Technique Tuesday and heat embossed in white, and the tags were done.

Celebrate You Green Monochromatic Birthday

Monochromatic cards have a very clean and simple design.  For this card I used My Favorite Things Make a Wish stamp set using Gina K. Designs Grass Ink.  It technically isn’t monochromatic since the candles are stamped yellow, but what are candles without a yellow/orange flame?

I love the look of a lot of white space on a card.  This simple image makes it very easy to create a clean and simple card.

Janet – You Are Awesome

My husband asked me the other day if I would make a card for his administrative specialist, since this week is when we officially give them thanks for all they do to keep work life running smoothly.  I colored it in some of her favorite colors and Michael tells me she even wore the same colors today when they gave it to her.  How cool is that.

I went on line and searched for a good image for administrative specialists.  There weren’t very many out there, but I did fine this one from BrokenBoxStock Clipart called Daydreaming. I printed it onto Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock and then colored it with Copic Markers, colors are listed below.

I die cut the focal image with a My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX.  I love the way they give a finished look to any project.  I mounted it to a top folding A2 cardbase made from Gina K. Designs Base Weight Onyx Black Cardstock with Kokuyo Dotliner Adhesive.

The sentiment is from the Neat and Tangled Awesome stamp and die.  The word Awesome was cut from Paper Accents Silver Mirror Cardstock and an additional three times from black cardstock.  They were adhered together with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.  The secondary sentiment was stamped on a strip of black cardstock with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Gina K. Designs Detail White Embossing Powder.  3M 1/2″ Foam Tape was added to the back and it was adhered just above the word Awesome and the card was done.

Having been in the administrative field for all of my career, it was a pleasure to create a card thanking someone for all their hard work.

Celebrate with with WPlus9 Beautiful Bouquet Dahlias

This card was created with WPlus9 Beautiful Bouquet Dahlias.  It was printed and cut with the Silhouette Cameo on Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock.

Usually before I color a stamp I search on the internet for images of the flower.  I wanted the Dahlias to have a two toned look of orange and yellow and I really like the way it turned out.  The Copic markers used are listed below.

I die cut a panel of Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock with largest Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Stackable Rectangles and then ran it through the Big Shot again with the Cricut Oxford Embossing Folder.  I then cut some mirror cardstock to be 1/8″ larger than the embossed panel and adhered to two together with Tombo Mono Multi Glue.  A panel of Darice Adhesive Fun Foam was cut just smaller than the embossed panel and both were adhered together using Tombo Mono Multi Glue to a top folding A2 cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock.

I used the Neat & Tangled Celebrate die and shadow for the sentiment.  I wanted the sentiment to match the flowers and so I colored a scrap of white cardstock with the same Copic markers in a ombre from darkest to light.  The shadow was cut with gold mirror cardstock.  The flowers and sentiment were adhered to the card using 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape and the card was done.
