Thinking of You Corner Flowers

This stamp set was a collaboration between Pink Fresh Studio and Simon Says Stamptember. I have a love/hate with Stamptember. Once the stamp collaborations are sold out they are never available again. I went to purchase this stamp quickly, but the set with the matching dies was already sold out. I wanted to able to cut out the flowers and add dimension and thought I would quickly create a cut file in my Silhouette, but there are a lot of spaces between the flowers and leaves and that doesn’t work well when doing a trace and cut. So, I stamped the flower corner and then drew a pencil line around the flowers where I would fussy cut them with scissors. This didn’t work well either, but once I traced over the line with black ink I was finally able to create a cut file. I found the easiest way to use the cut file was to cut several, place the negative in my MISTI with some tape to keep it in place and add the positive cuts into place and then stamp the flowers on top.

For this card I used some lovely yellow, orange, and greens. Foam tape was added to the back for dimension. A side folding ivory cardbase was created and then dry embossed with the Cuttlebug Oxford Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from Altenew and was cut from gold mirror cardstock and again from sticky back foam. The flowers and sentiment were adhered in place with liquid glue. The final embellishment was to add some Nuvo Crystal Drop in Ripened Pumpkin to the center of the flowers.
