Power Poppy Luminos Bouquet Birthday

I love the floral arrangements created by Power Poppy and like using digital stamp because you have them to work with immediately.  I printed Power Poppy Luminos Bouquet with my HP Laser Printer on Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock and then cut around it using the PIXScan Mat and the Silhouette Cameo.  The image was colored with Copic Markers: RV06, RV04, RV02; R85, R83, R81, R89, R39; RV14, RV13, RV11; YG67, YG03; C3, C1; Y08; BG0000.

As you can probably tell by now, I like clean and simple cards, but I like to add focal interest with either a stitched rectangle of dry embossing.  For this card I die cut a My Favorite Things Wonky Rectangle from Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock.

I’ve begun tracing the focal image on a sheet of Darice Sticky Back Foam and adhering the together to add solid dimension behind the image.  I like the way it looks.  I stamped the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Fancy Sayings on vellum with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  It was wrapped around the focal image rectangle and adhered to the back with Scotch Tape.  The focal image was then adhered to a side folding A2 Cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock with Tombo Mono Multi Glue and the Card was done.

Power Poppy Ranunculus Birthday

I printed this digital image from Power Poppy called Ranunculus on Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock with a Laser Printer.  You do not want to use an Ink Jet printer because the lines would bleed when you colored them.

I pulled out my mini color wheel to determine what colors I wanted for this image.  With purple as the primary, blue and pink are Tetrad colors and so that is what I decided to use.  I colored the image with Copic Markers: RV02, RV04; RV06, RV09; V12, V15; V15, V17; BG11, BG13; BG13, BG45; G21, G46; Y00; Colorless Blender.

The sentiment is from a new stamp set I just got from Winnie & Walter called Sentimental Birthday.  They are smaller sentiments and can be used easily with larger focal images.  It was stamped with Hero Hues India Ink Black.

I die cut the image with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Stackable Rectangles and then a rectangle of Gina K. Designs 120# Black Cardstock was cut 1/8” larger and adhered to the back with Kokuyo Dotliner Adhesive.  Darice Sticky Back Foam was cut with the Stitched Rectangle and adhered to the back of the focal image.

A top folding A2 cardbase was made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock and then the front of the cardbase was placed in a Cuttlebug Polk Dots Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot to add visual interest to the card.  The focal image was then adhered to the card front with Tombo Mono Multi Glue.  A little Clear Wink of Stella was added to the flowers and the card was done.

Power Poppy Pansies Happy Birthday

One of the things I like about digital stamps is that you can make them any size you desire.  This image is Power Poppy Pansies and was printed on Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock with an HP Laser printer.

I looked online at images of pansies and decided to color these white with a purple center.  With the yellow stamen in the center it is a pretty color combination.  Copic Markers used are:  V20, V22, V25; C0, C1, C3; G24, G21, G46.  The sentiment is from Art Impressions Chocolate Therapy and was stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.

The image was die cut with the My Favorite Things Pierced Oval STAX die.  Darice Sticky Back Foam was also die cut and then trimmed down to be just smaller than the focal image.  A side folding A2 cardbase was made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock, however, when I went to place the focal image on the card front the white on white just got lost on the paper, so I took the darkest purple marker (V25) and ran it around the edges of the oval.  That really made the image pop on the page.

To also add interest a rectangle of 80# white cardstock was die cut with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Stackable Rectangle and then run through the Big Shot with the Cuttlebug Oxford Embossing Folder.  This rectangle was adhered to the card front with Tombo Mono Multi Glue and then the focal image oval was adhered on top with the same glue and the card was done.

Power Poppy Fly Guy Birthday Card

Designs 80# Ivory Cardstock with my HP Laser Printer and colored it with Copic Markers: BG01, BG11, BG13; B01, B00, B000; C9, C7; YG95, B24, B26; B25, B31; C1, C3, C5; YG95, YG97, YG93; BG13, G24, C1, C3; E49, E29; E00, E11, E13.

It was run through the Big Shot with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle and then Gina K. Designs 1203# Chocolate Brown Cardstock was cut 1/8” larger and glued to the back of the focal image with some Kokuyo DotLiner Adhesive.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts Birthday Messages and was stamped with Altenew Dark Chocolate Ink.  Darice Sticky Back Foam was cut with the same Simon Says Stamp Rectangle and added to the back of the focal image.

The Reel Deal Birthday Card

This image is very similar to Stampin’ Up’s Angler and is a digital image from Power Poppy called Reel Deal.  I always print these images on my small HP Laser Printer so that it doesn’t bleed when coloring.  The image was printed on Gina K. Designs 80# Ivory Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers: C2, C3; R24, R27, R29; YR07, Y17, YG03, B23, B24, B26, B37; E55, E35, E57; YG91, YG93.

It was printed as a small image and so I die cut it using a smaller Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle.  Darice Sticky Back Foam was cut 1/8” smaller and adhered to the back.  A side folding A2 cardbase was made from Gina K. Designs 120# Navy Cardstock.  The sentiment from My Favorite Things Celebrate You was stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  The focal image was adhered to the card front with Tombo Mono Multi Glue.  I love the way it pops off the page with the dark cardbase.

Power Poppy Rose and Chamomile Pink Tipped White Happy Birthday Card

This is the last card made with the Power Poppy Rose and Chamomile Digital Stamp.  This time I decided on another two-toned rose of white and hot pink.

The image was printed on Neenah Solar White 80# Cardstock with a laser printer.  Copic Markers RV11, RV13, RV14; C00, C0, C1, C2; G24, G94, G99; BG0000, BG10 were used to color the image.

An A2 top folding cardbase was made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock.  To add interest to the card it was run through the Big Shot with the Darice Basketweave Embossing Folder with pressure only applied to the top 2/3 of the card.  A Scor-Pal was used to add an embossed line separating the embossed portion of the card from front the bottom of the card.

The sentiment from Clearly Besotted Fancy Sayings was stamped on the bottom of the card with Hero Arts Bubblegum Ink.  Butterflies were punched using the Martha Stewart Three Butterflies Punch and then colored in the same way as the rose.  Small white pearls were used for the body of the butterflies.

The focal image was die cut using Spellbinders Classic Square Large Die and then adhered to the dry embossed area of the card front with Darice Sticky Back Fun Foam and Tombo Mono Multi Glue and the card was done.

Power Poppy Rose and Chamomile Red Thinking of You Card

Red is the first color that comes to mind when talking about roses.  It has forever been the symbol of love and devotion and makes a beautiful card.

The image was colored with Copic Markers: R24, R27, R29; YG99, YG97, YG93; BG0000, BG000.  Once the coloring was complete the focal image was die cut with Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Stackable Rectangles.  A rectangle 1/8” larger was cut with a guillotine paper cutter out of red cardstock.  Both were adhered together with Tombo Mono Dot Adhesive Glue Runner.

The sentiment from Clearly Besotted Fancy Sayings was stamped in Hero Hues India Ink Black in the lower left of the card.  An A2 top folding cardbase was made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock.  Darice Sticky Back Fun Foam was added to the back of the focal image rectangle and it was adhered to the cardbase with Tombo Mono Multi Glue and the card was done.  Simple to make, but elegantly beautiful.

Power Poppy Rose and Chamomile White With Sympathy Card

I decided to color it white, but if you look closely at white flowers you will notice that they are not completely white.  There is shading to the petals that are sometimes, green, yellow, gray, and other neutral colors.  I decided to use light yellow Copic Markers to shade the image.  Colors used are listed below.

Once coloring was complete I fussy cut the rose with scissors.  To help the image standout on the page a circle of green cardstock was die cut using My Favorite Things Pierced Circle STAX Die.  A darker green scalloped circle was cut using Spellbinders Scalloped Circle Large Die.  Both circles were adhered together with Tombo Mono Multi Glue.  The rose image was adhered to the circle die cuts using 3M ½” Foam Tape.

To determine where to stamp the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Fancy Sayings the focal image was placed on a top folding A2 cardbase and then stamped with Altenew Forest Glade Ink.

Doodle Bug Designs Limeade and Pretty Pink Posh Mossy Grass Sequins were added to the card as a final embellishment.
