Countryside Bouquet Happy Birthday

This is another Power Poppy Digital Stamp called Countryside Bouquet that I recently purchased.  It was printed on Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock using an HP Laser Printer and then the outline cut using the PIXScan Mat and the Silhouette Cameo.

In the Doodlebug Kraft in Color 6 x 6 Paper Pad I found this yellow paper with little white flower on it and decided to use it as a background for this image.  It was die cut using the WPlus9 Gift Card Layers Rectangle, which cut a rectangle exactly the size of an A2 top folding cardbase.  It was adhered to the cardbase using Kokuyo Dotliner Adhesive.

The Copic Markers used pulled the pretty spring lemon yellow into the flower arrangement.  Copic Markers used were: YG95, YG91, G94, G21, G46, G17; YG01, YG03, YG17, YG67; B24, B23; Y08, Y02; R85, R83, R81; V15, V12; BG0000.  The flower arrangement was scanned and cutout using the PIXScan Mat and the Silhouette Cameo.  It was placed on some Darice Fun Foam, traced with a pencil, fussy cut, and the foam adhered to the back of the image.

A rectangle of Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock was cut using the Winnie & Walter Audrey Essentials Scalloped Rectangle Die and adhered to the yellow card front with Kokuyo Dotliner Adhesive.

The flower arrangement was placed on the card front to determine where to stamp the sentiment from Hero Arts Messages with a Flourish in Hero Hues India Ink Black.  The focal image was adhered above the sentiment with Tombo Mono Multi Glue and the card was done.

Rose & Chamomile Birthday Card

Frame dies are a beautiful way to set off a focal image on a card and make it pop from the page.

I began by printing the Power Poppy Rose & Chamomile Digital Stamp on Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock and then using the PIXScan mat ran it through the Silhouette Cameo to die cut around the image.

I knew that I wanted the flower arrangement to have pink and purple, with hints of yellow and so I when through my stash of patterned paper and found this pretty pink cardstock from Doodlebug Kraft in Color 6 x 6 Paper Pad.  It was die cut using the WPlus9 Gift Card Layers Rectangle, which cut a rectangle exactly the size of an A2 top folding cardbase.  It was adhered to the cardbase using Kokuyo Dotliner Adhesive.

My Favorite Things Stitched Oval Frame was used to create a frame for the focal image.  3M ½” Foam Tape was cut in half so that it would be a narrow strip and adhered to the back of the frame.  It was placed on an A2 top folding cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock to determine where to stamp the sentiment from Winnie & Walter Sentimental Birthday with Hero Hues Onyx Black Ink.  In looking back on the card, I think it would have looked better to heat emboss it with white embossing powder, but I still like the look of the card.

The backer paper was removed from the foam tape and the oval frame was adhered to the card front.  3M ½” foam tape was placed strategically on the back of the flower arrangement so that it would rest upon the frame, but still be supported underneath in the open areas.  It turned out to be a pretty card.

Hobnail Pitcher Birthday Tulip Card

I like the image from Power Poppy Tulips in a Hobnail Pitcher.  Although we are far  beyond tulip season it still make a love card.  I printed the image using my HP Laser Jet Printer onto Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock and then die cut around the image using the PIXScan Mat and the Silhouette Cameo.  The image was colored with the following Copic Markers: R85, R83, R81; R22, R21, R20; Y08, Y02; YG67, YG17, YG03, YG01; C7, C5, C3, C2, C1.

I decided to die cut a rectangle from the same cardstock using a My Favorite Things Stitched Shapes Rectangle and then dry embossed it using the Cuttlebug Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  I thought it complemented the hobnails in the pitcher beautifully.  A scrap of white cardstock was colored with the darkest cool gray makers and dried with the Marvy Embossing Heat Tool.  The sentiment from My Favorite Things Celebrate You was stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed using Gina K. Designs Detail White Embossing Powder.  3M ½” Foam Tape was added to the back to add dimension.

To assemble the card Darice Sticky Back Foam was added to the back of the polka dot rectangle.  The focal image was traced on some leftover Sticky Back Foam and the two were adhered together.  The sentiment was added to the lower third of the cardbase with 3M ½” Foam Tape and the focal image was adhered above it using Ranger Multi Medium Matte and the card was done.

Tree Peony Birthday Card

The Power Poppy Tree Peony is a new digital stamp that I recently purchased.  I found some pretty lilac and gold mirror paper in the Moment Cardstock Carton 12 x 12 Paper Pad and decided to use it for inspiration for coloring this image.   It was printed on Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock and die cut using the PIXScan Mat and the Silhouette Cameo.  3M ½” Foam Tape was added to the back of the focal image.

A rectangle from the polka dot paper was created using the Rectangle from the Simon Says Stamp Bundles of Stitched Shapes and die cut circle was added to the upper center of the card with the My Favorite Thing Pierced Circle STAX.  A scrap of Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock was cut, dry embossed with the Cuttlebug Oxford Embossing Folder.  3M ½” Foam Tape was added around the circle opening and the rest of the card back and then the two were adhered together using Kokuyo Dotliner Adhesive.

The sentiment was cut from Paper Accents Gold Mirror Cardstock using Mama Elephant’s Happy Script Die.  All the elements of the card were added to the front of a top folding A2 cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock, which was dry embossed with the Cuttlebug Oxford Embossing Folder.  The secondary sentiment was stamped with Hero Hues India Ink Black and the primary sentiment was adhered above it using Ranger Multi Medium Matte. To help it stand out from the purple background the lightest shade of lilac Copic Marker (RV91) was used to add a drop shadow to the word.

The focal image was adhered to the front of the cardbase using Tombo Mono Multi Glue and the card was done.

Magnolia Sunshine Sympathy Card

When I am creating a sympathy card I try to keep to a light color pallet.  I printed the Power Poppy Magnolia Sunshine Digital Stamp on Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock and cut the image using the PIXScan Matt and the Silhouette Cameo.  The image was colored with Copic Markers: RV06, RV04, RV02; R85, R83, R81, R89, R39; RV14, RV13, RV11; YG67, YG03; C3, C1; Y08; BG0000.

The focal image was traced on Darice Sticky Back Foam and then cut out and adhered to the back of the image.  A rectangle frame was made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock using My Favorite Things Pierced Rectangle Frame.  A rectangle was cut from Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock and dry embossed using the Darice Basketweave Embossing Folder.  3M ½” Foam Tape was added to the back of the frame and then dry embossed rectangle was adhered to the back.  The backing paper was removed from the 3M ½” Foam Tape and adhered to the center of the frame

The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink on a thin strip of vellum paper with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder and wrapped around the frame and adhered to the back with Scotch Tape.  The focal image rectangle was then adhered to a top folding A2 cardbase made from 120# Gina K. Designs White Cardstock and the card was done.

Power Poppy Luminos Bouquet Birthday

I love the floral arrangements created by Power Poppy and like using digital stamp because you have them to work with immediately.  I printed Power Poppy Luminos Bouquet with my HP Laser Printer on Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock and then cut around it using the PIXScan Mat and the Silhouette Cameo.  The image was colored with Copic Markers: RV06, RV04, RV02; R85, R83, R81, R89, R39; RV14, RV13, RV11; YG67, YG03; C3, C1; Y08; BG0000.

As you can probably tell by now, I like clean and simple cards, but I like to add focal interest with either a stitched rectangle of dry embossing.  For this card I die cut a My Favorite Things Wonky Rectangle from Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock.

I’ve begun tracing the focal image on a sheet of Darice Sticky Back Foam and adhering the together to add solid dimension behind the image.  I like the way it looks.  I stamped the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Fancy Sayings on vellum with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  It was wrapped around the focal image rectangle and adhered to the back with Scotch Tape.  The focal image was then adhered to a side folding A2 Cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock with Tombo Mono Multi Glue and the Card was done.

Power Poppy Ranunculus Birthday

I printed this digital image from Power Poppy called Ranunculus on Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock with a Laser Printer.  You do not want to use an Ink Jet printer because the lines would bleed when you colored them.

I pulled out my mini color wheel to determine what colors I wanted for this image.  With purple as the primary, blue and pink are Tetrad colors and so that is what I decided to use.  I colored the image with Copic Markers: RV02, RV04; RV06, RV09; V12, V15; V15, V17; BG11, BG13; BG13, BG45; G21, G46; Y00; Colorless Blender.

The sentiment is from a new stamp set I just got from Winnie & Walter called Sentimental Birthday.  They are smaller sentiments and can be used easily with larger focal images.  It was stamped with Hero Hues India Ink Black.

I die cut the image with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Stackable Rectangles and then a rectangle of Gina K. Designs 120# Black Cardstock was cut 1/8” larger and adhered to the back with Kokuyo Dotliner Adhesive.  Darice Sticky Back Foam was cut with the Stitched Rectangle and adhered to the back of the focal image.

A top folding A2 cardbase was made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock and then the front of the cardbase was placed in a Cuttlebug Polk Dots Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot to add visual interest to the card.  The focal image was then adhered to the card front with Tombo Mono Multi Glue.  A little Clear Wink of Stella was added to the flowers and the card was done.

Power Poppy Pansies Happy Birthday

One of the things I like about digital stamps is that you can make them any size you desire.  This image is Power Poppy Pansies and was printed on Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock with an HP Laser printer.

I looked online at images of pansies and decided to color these white with a purple center.  With the yellow stamen in the center it is a pretty color combination.  Copic Markers used are:  V20, V22, V25; C0, C1, C3; G24, G21, G46.  The sentiment is from Art Impressions Chocolate Therapy and was stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.

The image was die cut with the My Favorite Things Pierced Oval STAX die.  Darice Sticky Back Foam was also die cut and then trimmed down to be just smaller than the focal image.  A side folding A2 cardbase was made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock, however, when I went to place the focal image on the card front the white on white just got lost on the paper, so I took the darkest purple marker (V25) and ran it around the edges of the oval.  That really made the image pop on the page.

To also add interest a rectangle of 80# white cardstock was die cut with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Stackable Rectangle and then run through the Big Shot with the Cuttlebug Oxford Embossing Folder.  This rectangle was adhered to the card front with Tombo Mono Multi Glue and then the focal image oval was adhered on top with the same glue and the card was done.

Power Poppy Fly Guy Birthday Card

This is another digital image from Power Poppy called Fly Guy.  I have a son who loves to fly fish and so this is the perfect card for him.  I printed the image on Gina K. Designs 80# Ivory Cardstock with my HP Laser Printer and colored it with Copic Markers: BG01, BG11, BG13; B01, B00, B000; C9, C7; YG95, B24, B26; B25, B31; C1, C3, C5; YG95, YG97, YG93; BG13, G24, C1, C3; E49, E29; E00, E11, E13.

It was run through the Big Shot with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle and then Gina K. Designs 1203# Chocolate Brown Cardstock was cut 1/8” larger and glued to the back of the focal image with some Kokuyo DotLiner Adhesive.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts Birthday Messages and was stamped with Altenew Dark Chocolate Ink.  Darice Sticky Back Foam was cut with the same Simon Says Stamp Rectangle and added to the back of the focal image.

A side folding A2 cardbase was made from Gina K. Designs 120# Kraft Cardstock.  The focal image was adhered to the front with Tombo Mono Multi Glue and the card was done.

The Reel Deal Birthday Card

This image is very similar to Stampin’ Up’s Angler and is a digital image from Power Poppy called Reel Deal.  I always print these images on my small HP Laser Printer so that it doesn’t bleed when coloring.  The image was printed on Gina K. Designs 80# Ivory Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers: C2, C3; R24, R27, R29; YR07, Y17, YG03, B23, B24, B26, B37; E55, E35, E57; YG91, YG93.

It was printed as a small image and so I die cut it using a smaller Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle.  Darice Sticky Back Foam was cut 1/8” smaller and adhered to the back.  A side folding A2 cardbase was made from Gina K. Designs 120# Navy Cardstock.  The sentiment from My Favorite Things Celebrate You was stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  The focal image was adhered to the card front with Tombo Mono Multi Glue.  I love the way it pops off the page with the dark cardbase.
