Power Poppy Ranunculus Birthday Card

There are a lot of ranunculus flower images out there right now, but I liked this one from Power Poppy.  I purchased the digital image and printed it on 80# Gina K. Designs White Cardstock with a laser printer.  This allowed me to color the image with Copic Markers without causing the lines to bleed.  The colors used are listed below.

Once the coloring was completed the image was die cut using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles.  A rectangle 1/8” larger was cut with my paper trimmer from Paper Accents Gold Mirror Cardstock and the two were adhered together using Scor-Tape.  I have found this works best on the slick surface of mirror cardstock.  Darice Adhesive Fun Foam was adhered to the back of the focal image.

A top folding A2 cardbase was made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock and the focal image was adhered to the front using Tombo Mono Multi Glue.

The sentiment from Clearly Besotted Fancy Sayings was stamped on Gina K. Designs 120# Black Cardstock with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Rangers Fine Detailed Gold Embossing Powder.  A scrap of adhesive fun foam was added to the back of the sentiment and then adhered to the front of the card with Tombo Mono Multi Glue.  A few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh Metallic Gold were adhered to the card front with Ranger Multi Medium Matte and the card was done.

Power Poppy Magnolia Sympathy Card

This is another beautiful digital stamp from Power Poppy entitled Magnolia.  I love the pretty bouquet image and it turned out to be a lovely card.

I began by printing the image on 80# Gina K. Designs White Cardstock on a laser printer to ensure that the lines did not bleed when colored with Copic Markers.  The colors used were: V12, V15, V17, V91; Rv13, RV14; YG03, YG63; G43, G46; E55, E57.

Once the coloring was done the image was die cut using My Favorite Things Pierced Oval STAX. A rectangle from purple cardstock was cut using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and another 1/8” larger from Paper Accents Gold Mirror Cardstock.  The two were adhered together with Scor-Tape.  A rectangle was cut from Darice Adhesive Fun Foam and adhered to the back of the rectangles.

The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Fancy Sayings and was stamped just below the placement of the focal image with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.

A top folding A2 cardbase was made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock.  The focal image oval was adhered to the purple rectangle with Tombo Mono Stamp Runner Dot Adhesive and then adhered to the cardbase with Tombo Mono Multi Glue.  Pretty Pink Posh Metallic Gold Sequins were adhered to the card front with Ranger Multi Medium Matte and the card was done.

Power Poppy Joyful Lilies Easter Card

I wanted to create some Easter cards that I could send to the young women and men who are serving missions from our church and so I began searching for images of Easter Lilies and found this beautiful digital stamp from Power Power entitled Joyful Lilies.

I imported the digital image into Microsoft Word, changed the line color to a light gray, and printed it with my HP LaserJet Printer, since I would be coloring the image with Copic Markers and didn’t want the lines to bleed.

The Copic colors used were: C1, C2; V25, V09; G43; YR15, YR07; YG93, YG97, YG99

After the coloring was complete I placed the image on a Silhouette Cameo PixScan Mat and took a picture with my cell phone.  I then imported the picture into the Silhouette Software, created a trace of the image and then added a .04 outline and cut around the image with the Cameo.  Since I was creating multiples I could do four images at a time.

I didn’t have a stamp that would give me the sentiment I desired, so I created a banner using the Table function in Microsoft Word, adding a gray fill and the words “Because of Him” in white font and it was perfect.

I wanted to add a background to the image so that it would standout on the card front so I die cut a rectangle using the 2nd largest Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Stackable Rectangles and ran it through the Sizzix Big Shot with the Sizzix Dotted Lattice Embossing Folder.  This rectangle was glued directly to a top folding A2 Cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock with Tombo Mono Multi Glue.

3M 1/2″ Foam Tape was added to the back of the focal image and added to the dry embossed rectangle.  Foam tape was also added to the ends of the sentiment banner, which was placed towards the bottom of the focal image and the card was done.

Power Poppy Peonies Welcome

For this stamp I searched Google for images of Peonies and found some that were pink with a tinge of yellow at the ends.  It was a pretty combination and used that inspiration to create this welcome card.

I printed and cut the Power Poppy Ponies Digital Stamp on Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock and then colored it with the Copic Markers listed below.

A panel of 80# Gina K. Designs White Cardstock was cut using the rectangle from Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes and run through the Big Shot with the Cricut Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  The panel was glued to the front of a top folding A2 cardbase made from 120# Gina K. Designs White Cardstock with Tombo Mono Multi Glue.  Next th he focal image was applied to the front of the card with 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape to add dimension.

The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Beautiful Baby, stamped with VersaMark Ink onto some 120# Gina K. Designs Black Cardstock and heat embossed with Gina K. Designs Fine Detail White Embossing Powder, then adhered to the front of the card with 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape.

Power Poppy French Lilac Hello

Some of the sweetest smelling flowers of spring are lilacs.  I really love this image from Power Poppy called French Lilacs.  It was printed and cut using the Silhouette Cameo and then colored with Copic Markers (colors listed below).

When creating a clean and simple white card I like to add dimension by adding a panel that has been dry embossed.  This card uses the Darice Basketweave Embossing Folder.  First the panel was cut using the largest rectangle from Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Stackable Rectangles and embossing it with the folder.

A panel of mirror gold cardstock was cut 1/8″ larger than the panel and both were adhered together using Tombo Mono Multi Glue and then adhered directly to a top folding A2 Card made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock.  The focal image was adhered to the front of the panel using 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape.

The sentiment was cut from mirror gold cardstock using Hero Arts Hello Stamp and Cut.  When adding dimension to a die cut sentiment you can either cut several words and glue them together, or in this case I die cut Darice Adhesive Fun Foam and then glued to the panel using Tombo Mono Multi Glue.

Designs 120# White Cardstock with Darice Adhesive Fun Foam.

The sentiment was cut from gold mirror cardstock using Winnie & Walter The Big, The Bold, and You die.  It was cut again three times with scrap white card stock and adhered together with Elmer’s Adhesive Spray.  Tombo Mono Multi Glue was used to adhere it to the front of the card panel.  This beautiful sentiment can be used for birthdays, weddings, graduations, or any other occasion where you want to express your congratulations.

Celebrate with with WPlus9 Beautiful Bouquet Dahlias

This card was created with WPlus9 Beautiful Bouquet Dahlias.  It was printed and cut with the Silhouette Cameo on Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock.

Usually before I color a stamp I search on the internet for images of the flower.  I wanted the Dahlias to have a two toned look of orange and yellow and I really like the way it turned out.  The Copic markers used are listed below.

I die cut a panel of Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock with largest Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Stackable Rectangles and then ran it through the Big Shot again with the Cricut Oxford Embossing Folder.  I then cut some mirror cardstock to be 1/8″ larger than the embossed panel and adhered to two together with Tombo Mono Multi Glue.  A panel of Darice Adhesive Fun Foam was cut just smaller than the embossed panel and both were adhered together using Tombo Mono Multi Glue to a top folding A2 cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock.

I used the Neat & Tangled Celebrate die and shadow for the sentiment.  I wanted the sentiment to match the flowers and so I colored a scrap of white cardstock with the same Copic markers in a ombre from darkest to light.  The shadow was cut with gold mirror cardstock.  The flowers and sentiment were adhered to the card using 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape and the card was done.
