I recently purchased Stampers Anonymous Gears. It comes with individual gears, but also this great corner piece. I swiped VersaFine Onyx Black Ink onto some cardstock for a streaky black look and then added Hero Arts Fine Detail Clear Embossing Powder several times. It gives a great metal looking finish.
I used the same technique for the die cut sentiments from Penny Black, but I didn’t have the right secondary sentiment to go along with the theme of the card, so I printed it with my laser printer and then added clear embossing powder.
I didn’t want a stark white background for this card so I pulled out this soft Smoke Grey Cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and cut a rectangle using a My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle and adhered it to a back cardbase.
