I’ve had this die for years and have never used it. Splitcoaststampers Clean and Simple challenge this week was to create something with the American flag in honer of Independence day. I really like the way it turned out.
I love it when I can put a products gathering dust in my craft room to good use. Despite all the small pieces it really came together quite easily. I added Be Creative Tape to the back of the cardstock so it was really easy to do the paper piecing. I cut the die four times, twice from white, and then again from blue and red. It was easy to inlay the pieces because they were already sticky. I love the crisp, clean look of it.
I didn’t have a sentiment that I like and so I created one in the Silhouette Cameo Software using Good Vibrations and Antiqua Caps fonts. I printed the lettering once and cut the outline another four times from Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock. To adhere all the layers together I used Elmer’s Craft Bond Spray Adhesive. I then adhered it to the card front with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. The flag panel was adhered to a pre-folded Says Stamp side folding A2 heavy weight cardbase with Kokuyo Dotliner Adhesive and the card was done.
