My husband’s nephew’s daughter was recently married. Michael selected this cute image from Whimsy Stamps for their wedding card. There colors were yellow and blue and so that was the colors used on this card.
It was stamped on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. It was colored with Copic Markers and then cut down using a scalloped rectangle. Sticky back foam was added to the back for dimension and adhered to a side folding A2 navy cardbase.
I love the beautiful congratulations die from Simon Says Stamp. It was cut from gold mirror cardstock and adhered to the bottom of the focal image and the card was done.
We have friends whose son is getting married on January 4. Their colors are navy, burgundy, and silver. I love the Beautiful Flower stamps from Simon Says Stamp, but they are very large. I wanted to use the entire image and so I made a slightly larger card 6″ x 4 3/4″ from Gina K. Designs In the Navy Base Weight Cardstock. I first stamped the image on Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock with Ink On 3 Fade Out Ink and colored it with Copic Markers and then restamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. Since I don’t have the coordinating die I used my Silhouette PIXScan Mat to cut the image.
For the card front I cut some more Solar White Cardstock 1/4″ smaller than the base and decided to add some stripes to the bottom using Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Strips Background. I masked off the top of the card with Post-it Tape, stamped the stripes with VersaMark and heat embossed with the silver embossing powder. I added a thin strip of Paper Accents Silver Mirror Cardstock above the stripes for a finished edge and cut the sentiment from the same cardstock adhering it to the top of the card front with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
To focal image was adhered to the bottom of the cardbase using 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape, allowing the leaves on the side to extend beyond the cardbase. I used a 5″ x 7″ envelope and stamped the flower image at the bottom and heat embossed it for a matching envelope.
This is a favorite stamp set I use for wedding cards, it is such a sweet image. I find out their reception colors and used them in the coloring and make sure the hair matches the individuals. This time I used my Silhouette PixScan to cut around the image so I could pop it off the page.
This is another lovely layering stamp from Altenew that really makes a beautiful statement on a card. I make this for a young couple’s wedding and loved the way it turned out with the rose gold sentiment.
The third card I made with background stamps used Hero Arts Lotus stamp on Strathmore 140# Cold Press Watercolor paper, stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Stampin Stuff Clear Embossing Powder. Distress inks used were Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, and Picked Raspberry and blended with Ranger’s round blending tool. Using a spray bottle of water a fine mist of water was added to the watercolor paper to help the colors blend.
This card was for my nephew Devin’s wedding to his fiancee Mandy. It turned out beautiful and elegant. Once the background was complete I used the largest Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Stackable Rectangle to cut the watercolor background to a panel 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and adhered it with Be Creative 5/8″ tape to a 4 1/4″ x 11″ cardbase, scored at 5 1/2″.
I wanted the background to take center stage so I cut a label from a leftover piece of Strathmore Watercolor paper with My Favorite Things Well-Worn Greetings die and stamped the sentiment from Penny Black’s Special Wishes with Hero Hues Black ink using my MISTI. 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape was added to the back of the label for dimension.
For embellishment I cut My Favorite Things Fancy Flourish die from heavy weight white vellum and curved it along the left edge of the label. Flowers were cut using My Favorite Things Flower and Leaf Trio die from Doodlebug Sprinkles White Vellum. The flowers were layered on top of each other and adhered with Micro Glue Dots. A pearl from Michaels Rhinestone Stickers was added to the center of the flower with Micro Glue Dot. To add dimension to the flower it was adhered to the label with a 3/8″ Zots Medium Glue Dot.
For the inside of the card I printed a quote from Elizabeth Browning; “Love doesn’t make the word go round, Love is what makes the ride worthwhile” on Gina K. Design 80# White Cardstock and cut it with the same My Favorite Things Well-Worn Greetings die as was used on the front. Another flourish and flower were added as well. A strip of the background was added to the bottom of the inside card and to the bottom of the envelope and the card was done.

My nephew Brandon is getting married this weekend. He and his bride to be, Olivia, selected Navy Blue, Cream, and Taupe for their wedding colors. Whimsey Stamps has a cute image of a bride and groom. I stamped the image with Memento Paris Dusk on Gina K. Designs Ivory cardstock and colored it with Copic markers.
I used the following Copic colors.
Suit and Flowers: B93, B95, B97, B99
Dress: W0, W1
Groom’s Hair: YR20, YR21, YR23, E35
Bride’s Hair: E50, E51, E53
Bouquet Leaves: G20, G82, G85
Skin: E000, E00, E11
I created a plaid pattern on the vest for variation and to break up all the blue. In the center of the flowers I squeezed a little platinum Stickles. I sized the image using the second Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Stackable Rectangle and cut the taupe background with the largest Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle, but felt it was too large for the look I was going for, so I ran it through the Bigshot again, placing it so it was about 1/8″ smaller with an overall size of 4 3/4″ x 3 9/16″. I added 3M 1/2 Foam Tape to the back of the image and the taupe background and adhered them to a Gina K. Design 120 lb. ivory card base.
The sentiment is from Winnie & Walter The Big, The Bold and You cutaways in Gina K. Designs 120 lb. Navy cardstock, layered three times with Zig 2 Way Glue Pen for depth and dimension and adhered it to the front of the card with Zig 2 Way Glue Pen and the card was done.
