Darkroom Door Word Block Birthday Background

A word background stamp can make a clean and simple masculine card. This card uses the Darkroom Door Word Black Birthday Background, embossing, and ink blending techniques.

A panel of Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock was cut with the rectangle from Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes. An anti-static pad was used prior to stamping the background with VersaMark Ink. Gina K. Designs White Detail Embossing Powder was melted with the Marvy Embossing Tool.  Next Walnut Stain Distress Ink was added using a Ranger Mini Blending Tool, with the darkest concentration on the edges.

Two balloons were cut from scrap red patterned cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Party Balloon dies and then ink blended with Barn Door Distress Ink.  Red DFN Craft Thread was tied to the bottom of the ballons, then the ballons were adhered to the background panel with 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape.  The balloon ties were wrapped around the bottom of the panel and adhered in place with scotch tape.  The panel then was adhered to a top folding A2 cardbase made from Gina K. The sentiment from My Favorite Things Birthday Sentiments was stamped with VersaMark Ink on a strip of Gina K. Designs 120# Chocolate Cardstock and embossed with Gina K. Designs Detail White Embossing Powder the adhered to the front of the panel with 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape.
