I really like using the digital images from Power Poppy. They can be printed to any size you desire, and when printed using the Silhouette Cameo you can have it cut around the image, much like using a die.
I made two birthday cards with the Power Poppy Camellias. My favorite is the one with pink and purple flowers, but the metallic center of the flowers in the second it beautiful as well. Both cards were printed on Canson 90# Watercolor Paper and then watercolored with Winsor & Newton’s Artist Grade Half Pan 24 Watercolor Set.
Both Cards were assembled with an A2 top folding cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock. Both had a rectangle die cut from Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes out of Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock. Both rectangles were embossed using the Cricut Oxford Embossing Folder, which were applied to the cardbase using Darice Adhesive Fun Foam. Both focal images were applied using 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape with sentiment banners made from Gina K. Designs 120# Black Cardstock. But because of the differences in color they each have a unique feel.
The sentiment used for this card was from Gina K. Designs Birthday Greetings, stamped on Gina K. Designs 120# Black Cardstock with VersaMark Ink and Heat Embossed with Gina K. Designs Fine Detail White Embossing Powder.
The sentiment from this card is from the Clearly Besotted Fancy Sayings stamp set. The word belated was eliminated from the beginning of the phrase. The sentiment was stamped on Gina K. Designs 120# Black Cardstock with VersaMark Ink and Heat Embossed with Gina K. Designs Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. The stamen in the flowers were painted using FineTec 630 Arabic-Gold.
