Introduction to Color Theory

This week I participated in Online Card Classes Introduction to Color Theory.  It was an amazing class lead by Debbie Hughes.  I learn so much and will be posting several cards made from the color theories shared in these lessons.  The first was to make a color wheel from three primary colors.  From those three colors you make three more secondary colors and six more tertiary colors, and that is just the beginning of understanding how many colors can be made from just three primary colors.  Here is the color wheel I made using Daniel Smith Cerulean Blue, Chromium; Hansa Yellow Light; Quinacridone Rose.

Products Used:

  • Acquarello Artistico Extra White 140# Watercolor Paper
  • Daniel Smith Watercolors: Cerulean Blue, Chromium; Hansa Yellow Light; Quinacridone Rose
  • Simon Says Stamp Nested Circles Die

I am a very blessed wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. I firmly believe in the quote by Dieter F. Uchtdorf which states "The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human heart." Every day I try to create something that lifts the heart for myself and others.
