Let’s Party Birthday Card

There are some great word art dies out there.  I have a few that I really like, but for some reason I don’t use them that often, go figure.  They are an easy card to make, with a little pattern piecing, and some mirror cardstock they have some glam.

I decided to use Paper Accents Mirror Gold Cardstock to cut some polka dot paper with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle.  Next I laid the sentiment die from Papertrey Ink Text Block Party Time in the center and die cut it from the patterned paper.  Next, I cut a rectangle 1/8” larger than the patterned paper rectangle from Gina K. Designs 120# Navy Cardstock and adhered it to the back with Tombo Mono Multi Glue.  This leaves a nice background for the sentiment, which was cut again from Paper Accents Gold Mirror Cardstock and inlaid into the opening and adhered with Ranger Multi Medium Matte.

A rectangle of Darice Sticky Back Foam was cut with the same Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered to the back of the focal image.  It was glued to the front of a top folding A2 Cardbase made from Gina K. Designs Ivory Cardstock with Tombo Mono Multi Glue and the card was done.  A simple, yet elegant card.
