From the The Paper Studio Glasses, Staches, & Ties paper pack I die cut the glasses paper with the rectangle from Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes and adhered it with Tombo Dot Adhesive Stamp Runner to a side fold card base, made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock, cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.
I die cut a piece of Gina K. Designs 100# Black Cardstock with the second largest Avery Elle Double Pierced Square. I eliminated any static and oils with my EK Tools Embossing Powder prior to stamping the glasses and “I see you” sentiment from with VersaMark Ink. I used several Winnie and Walter the Big the Bold stamps (Happy for y and a; Extra for have; Party for birthday) for the second line of the sentiment. I covered the stamps with Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Marvy Embossing Heat Tool.
I placed this panel on the patterned paper and felt that it needed something more to make it pop, so I stamped the Chevron Border from the same stamp set with VersaMark Ink on the left of the patterned paper, added gold embossing powder and heat set it. This added that little extra that the card needed. I adhered the black panel with Creative Hands Peel & Stick Foam Sheets for dimension and the card was done.
I like to add some element of the card to the inside of the card, as well as the envelope as seen in the picture above.
