Masculine Silhouette Hello Cards

I needed some masculine hello cards, which I find more of a challenge, but I like the way these turned out. The Echo Park Dots & Stripes paper are beautiful yet simple.

As with the previous hello cards, This time I did not cut the word from the center of a rectangle.  I cut the word only from a scrap of paper with the Brannboll Fet font cut at 120 pt.  At the same time I cut a .04 outline of the word from Paper Accents Gold Mirror Cardstock.

I created a rectangle of the polka dot paper with the Big Shot and the smallest Lawn Fawn Stitched Stackable Rectangle.  I created a slightly larger rectangle from Paper Accents Gold Mirror Cardstock with the Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes rectangle.

To assemble the card the polka dot and gold rectangles were adhered together using the Scotch ATG Glidder.  Darice Adhesive Fun Foam was added to the back of the panel and then it was adhered to a A2 side folding cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# Kraft Cardstock.  The hello cutout and outline were adhered together using Elmer’s Craft Bond Adhesive Spray.  Strips of 3M 1/2 Foam Tape were added to the back of the word and it was adhered to the front of the polka dot panel with Tombo Mono Multi Glue and the card was done.

For this card the hello word was cut from the center of a 6″ x 4 3/4″ rectangle.  The rectangle was run through the Big Shot with the rectangle from Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes.  A small rectangle of Paper Accents Gold Mirror Cardstock was adhered to the back of polka dot rectangle behind the word cutout with Scotch Tape.  Darice Adhesive Fun Foam was then added to the back of the panel for dimension.  The rectangle was adhered to the a side folding A2 cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# Kraft Cardstock.

Small strips of 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape were added to the back of the word cutout, but even with the gold foil behind it and the added dimension it was getting lost so I ink blended some Barn Door Distress ink to the edges and this helped.  The backing on the foam tape was removed and the word was placed back into the rectangle and the card was done.

This card is exactly the same as the first but I used a different color of the Echo Park Dots & Stripes paper.
