Recently the mother of a friend of ours passed away.  In her obituary it specifically noted that her favorite color was purple, so I wanted to create a sympathy card with purple flowers.  I pulled out the Penny Black Centerpiece stamp set, it’s one of my favorites, and stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on an outline I had cut previously with my Silhouette Cameo from Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock.  I used Copic Markers to color the image, listed below are the colors used.

From purple cardstock I had in my stash I cut a rectangle using Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts Prayers and was cut from the same purple cardstock three times and adhered together using Elmer’s Glue Adhesive Spray.  I then die cut a smaller rectangle from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Stackable Rectangles.  The focal image and prayers cutout were placed on the white rectangle to determine where to stamp the secondary greetings, also from Hero Arts Prayers.  They were stamped with Altenew Deep Iris Ink.

The two rectangles were adhered together using Tombo Mono Multi Glue and then adhered to the front of a top folding A2 cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock.  The focal image was adhered with 3M ½” Foam Tape and the sentiment cutout was adhered using Tombo Mono Multi Glue.  To add a little more interest the to the front of the card purple sequins were used from Pretty Pink Posh Enchanted Garden Mix and the card was done

I am a very blessed wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. I firmly believe in the quote by Dieter F. Uchtdorf which states "The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human heart." Every day I try to create something that lifts the heart for myself and others.
