Penny Black the Best Bring on the Happy Birthday Card

Megan is a young woman with boundless energy.  I thought this cute image from Penny Black The Best would make a cute birthday card for her.  Her favorite colors are blue and peach.

I stamped the image on Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored it with Copic Markers: R00, R02; B91, B93, B95, B97; C5, C6, C7;  G43, G07, G28; E00, E11, E51, R20; ; E49, E59, E57; BG000, BG0000.

Once the image was colored it was die cut using My Favorite Things Pierced Oval STAX.  A larger oval was cut with the Spellbinders Large Ovals die from light blue cardstock.  The two ovals were adhered together with Tombo Mono Glue Runner Dot Adhesive and Darice Sticky Back Fun Foam was added to the back.

A rectangle of Gina K. Designs 80# White Cardstock was die cut using Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes and another rectangle 1/8” larger was cut with a guillotine paper cutter from light blue cardstock.  The rectangles were adhered together with dot adhesive.  The focal image rectangle was placed on these rectangles to determine where to stamp the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Fancy Sayings, which was stamped with Altenew Caribbean Sky Ink.  Tombo Mono Multi Glue was added to the back of the oval focal image and adhered to the die cut rectangles. All were then adhered to a top folding A2 cardbase made form Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock and the card was done.
