Spring Birthday Annabel

I love this background paper.  There is something about the combination of blues and purples that is very appealing to me, and combined with a crisp white it is a lovely card.

This card is for another young woman who is turning twelve by the name of Abigail.  Her favorite color is purple.  For her card the La-La Land Crafts Birthday Cake Molli Digital Image was printed on Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock and then cut with the Silhouette Cameo and the PIXScan Mat.  It was colored with Copic Markers (listed below).

I found this wonderful purple and blue patterned paper in the Doodlebug Polar Pals 6 x 6 Paper Pad.  It was die cut using the rectangle from Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes and adhered to the front of an A2 top folding cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock using Kokuyo Dotliner Adhesive.

To set off the focal image an oval frame was cut from 80# white cardstock using the My Favorite Things Oval Frame.  3M ½” Foam Tape was cut in half to make it narrower and was added to the back.  If you remove both sides of the backing paper it is easy to bend it around a shape.

The oval was adhered to the card front and then the focal image was laid on top to determine where to stamp the sentiment from Winnie & Walter Sentimental Birthday with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Gina K. Designs Detail White Embossing Powder.  3M ½” Foam Tape was added to the back of the focal image and it was adhered in the middle of the oval and the card was done.

I am a very blessed wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. I firmly believe in the quote by Dieter F. Uchtdorf which states “The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human heart.” Every day I try to create something that lifts the heart for myself and others.
