Spring Card Camp 2 Day 18 Ink Pad Dragging Bold Cap Hello

I was in need of a masculine hello card and decided to use the technique taught in Day 18 of the Spring Card Camp 2 Online Card Class. It is a very easy technique to do the one that creates a pretty plaid. I used a ruler to ensure that the lines were straight. You simply drag the mini ink pad down and across with different colors until you create the look you want. This time I used a light turquois, yellow green, and yellow.

I added stitching to the edges of the card front with the largest Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle. I then pulled out my Altenew Bold Caps dies and cut the word “hello” from the center of the rectangle. I ran the light turquoise across a scap of cardstock until it was slightly darker than the lines in the plaid and die cut the word “hello” twice again. Once from the turquoise and again from sticky back foam and put the two together.

The plaid rectangle was adhered to a side folding cardbase with dotliner adhesive. The turquoise hello was adhered in the letters die cut from the plaid with liquid glue. I thought I was done, but I decided to add a secondary sentiment. I ran the green ink used in the plaid onto a scrap of paper and after it was completely dry I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed white. It was adhered over the “H” and “E” of the hello with foam tape and the card was done.

I had the leftover letters cut from the plaid background and decided to create another card. I use a stitched rectangle to die cut a rectangle from Gina K. Designs Sea Glass Ink and adhered it to a side folding cardbase. The letters were cut again from sticky back foam and adhered together. To ensure that the sentiment remained evenly spaced and straight I lined them up on my grid mat, placed purple tape over them to keep them in place, and then adhered them to the center of the turquoise rectangle with liquid glue.

Another secondary sentiment was created with leftover green ink pad dragged paper and heat embossed white. Adhered over the first two letters of the sentiment with foam tape and another card was done. Below is a picture of the second card made with the leftover letters.
