Spring Card Camp 2 Day 18 Ink Pad Dragging Poppies Hello

On day 18 of the Online Card Class, Spring Card Camp 2, Yana Smakula and Seeka were the guest designers. Their technique was to take your ink pads and drag them across your cardstock to create a patterned background paper.

For this card I decided to have a less random ink pad drag and created a plaid design with light pink, yellow, and green. I think it turned out pretty.

I decided to once again keep the card a clean and simple design. I die cut the background with a Memory Box Matinee Rectangle, which adds visual interest with the corners of the rectangle. It also add a stitched element to the edges.

For the focal image I used Spellbinders Poppy Die. It comes with the poppy bouquet die, but it also has the individual flowers to die cut as well. I used the same inks used for the background on the flowers and leaves. I added to Ranger Crystal Stickles to the center of the flowers and adhered the bouquet to the background panel.

For the sentiment I pulled out a pretty hello die from mama Elephant. I ink blended some cardstock with the pink and yellow inks used in the background before cutting the sentiment. It was also cut from sticky back foam to add dimension. I cut away the foam behind the letters that overlapped the flower bouquet to keep the dimension level.

The panel was a adhered to a top folding A2 cardbase and the card was done.
