Spring Card Camp Day 7 Let’s Party

For day seven of the Online Card Class Spring Card Camp we were suppose ink blend a stencil, cut a sentiment block and adhere the negative to one card and the positive to another.

I pulled out Simon Says Stamp Square Dance Stencil and used yellow and oranges to ink blend a background. I die cut the background using a My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle and adhered it to a top folding cardbase.

Since I didn’t have sentiment blocks I decided to try using Papertrey Ink’s Text Block Birthday Portrait. I though I might be able to use the negative pieces of the die for the second card. That did not work, but I like the results of using it for this card. I decided to cut it from black cardstock, which really has a visual punch to the card. I also cut it from black sticky back foam to add dimension.
