Statement Flower Hello

The Altenew Statement Flower Bundle was finally available again and purchased and received a couple of days ago. I wanted to give it a try. It is such a large beautiful flower and leaves image.

I stamped the image onto a quarter sheet of Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink since I planned to color it with Copic Markers. I decided to color the flowers pink. Copic Markers used are listed below.

Once the coloring was complete I used the coordinating die to cut out the image. I also cut out the image from sticky back foam and then trimmed around it, removed the backing, and adhered it to the back of the image.

I decided to add some visual interest behind the card with dry embossing. I cut a rectangle with a stitched rectangle and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Stampin’ Up Subtle Embossing Folder. It is one of my favorites with a subtle linen look. The rectangle was adhered to a top folding cardbase and then the flower image was adhered in place with liquid glue.

I had recently purchased Honey Bee’s Hello die. It come with two different shadow dies as well. I cut the smallest shadow from black cardstock and the die from gold mirror cardstock and adhered the two together with liquid glue. A little bit of foam tap was added to the portion of the sentiment that hung over the flowers and the rest was adhered over the flowers with liquid glue. The final embellishment was to scatter gold sequins around the image.

It is a lovely flower image and I’m sure I will use it on a lot of cards.
