Modern Floral Wishing You Joy Today Take II

When I saw this stamp set from Pink Fresh Studio I knew it would make some awesome card. I used Jennifer McGuire’s technique and die cut multiple images from white cardstock. Then I used one of the rectangles with the negative openings and placed a die cut in the opening and stamped it with the colors desired. This way you don’t have to realign the layers every time, only once, cleaning the stamp well between different colors. It went very quickly.

For this card I used pink flowers and create a bouquet with a ribbon bow. I die cut a scalloped rectangle and added the flowers and leaves. A ribbon was made from white organza ribbon an d adhered at the bottom of the bouquet. Sticky back foam was added to the back of the rectangle and it was adhered to a top folding cardbase with liquid glue.

The sentiment was stamped on black cardstock with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. It was cut using Pink and Main Sentiment Strip that has double flag ends. It was adhered using foam tape.

Then I used one of the rectangles with the negative openings and placed a die cut in the opening and stamped it with the colors desired. To add some visual interest I die cut a rectangle using a Memory Box Matinee Rectangle.

For this card I used coral colors for my flowers. I arrangement them in a mirror of one another and added a sentiment in between.

The final embellishment was to add some clear droplets around the flower bouquet.

Modern Floral Sending Big Hugs

When I saw this stamp set from Pink Fresh Studio I knew it would make some awesome card. I used Jennifer McGuire’s technique and die cut multiple images from white cardstock. Then I used one of the rectangles with the negative openings and placed a die cut in the opening and stamped it with the colors desired. This way you don’t have to realign the layers every time, only once, cleaning the stamp well between different colors. It went very quickly.

Once the stamping was done you have a lot of flowers and leaves to begin creating cards. For this card I used blue and yellow flowers, which is always a pretty combination, and arranged them so that I could have a circle sentiment in the middle.

I went through my stamps and found a sentiment I liked, stamped it on white cardstock, and then die cut it using a scalloped circle die. It was adhered in the middle of the flower arrangement with sticky back foam.

The final embellishment was to scatter a few matching sequins around the flower arrangement.

Below is another card I used with the same color combination in a little bit different layout.

Simply Bloom Background Hello

When I was taking the Online Card Class Spring Card Camp 2 and saw this beautiful die from Pink Fresh Studio and immediately went and purchased it. It makes a stunning card.

I die cut the flower background die three times from heavy weight cardstock and adhered them together with spray adhesive. I cut a rectangle of cardstock the same size as the die from 80# Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and ink blended it with Gina K. Designs Peach Bellini, Tomato Soup, and Jelly Bean Green in strategic locations. The background was then sprayed with Blick Pearl Simmer to add some shine. The flower die was then glued over the background, but it was just blah. So, I pulled out some Copic Markers and added color to the flower and leaves, but this caused overlap onto the white of the flower die, so I cut another one and adhered it over the top.

I pulled out some green enamel dots for the center of the flowers. For the sentiment I ink blended a scrap of cardstock with the Jelly Bean Green ink and die cut the Honey Bee Hello Die and then background from white and adhered the two together with liquid glue. It was glued over the top of the flower die in the lower right and the card was done.

Spring Card Camp 2 Day 14 Easy Watercolor Designs Cheery Flower Collage

Day 14 of the Spring Card Camp 2 was taught by Debby Hughes and was watercolor inspired by children. I didn’t want to do the same thing Debby had making rainbows or dots so I decided to do free hand stripes on an angle.

I had watercolored a large piece of Canson XL Watercolor paper for the last card that I made and had a section of leftover striped watercolors and cut it with the largest stitched rectangle that could be used on the scrap. As you can see it is watercolor is pretty random, much like what I think a kid would color. For this card I combined the idea shared by Yoosun Hur who had added a die cut flower outline to her torn watercolor pieces.

I had recently purchased Pink Fresh Studio’s Phrase Builder sentiment dies. I cut the word “smile” three times from 110# white cardstock and adhered them together with liquid glue. I die cut the Memory Box Cherry Flower Collage once from 110# white cardstock and added small pieces of foam tape behind the flower petals, the stems and leaves were adhered with liquid glue.

I decided to add a secondary sentiment and search for a stamp that had “sending you” and found one that said “sending you loads of color” and stamped it with VersaMark Ink onto a scrap of black cardstock, masking off the last word and embossing it with white powder. I cut it into a very small label and adhered it with thin strips of foam tape.

I decided to add the watercolor rectangle directly to a top folding cardbase. I love the large white space around the watercolor background.
