Vintage Flowers Birthday Wishes

This is another card that I made with a flower set I had purchase long ago and not yet used.  I found the layering to be easy and the results from stamping all the images in multi colors made a bright and happy card.

I used mainly Altenew inks to stamp the images, with the exception of Gina K. Designs Wild Dandelion.  Once the images were stamped I die cut them with the matching dies.  To arrange the flowers I decided to use the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders die.  I love the scalloped edge.  I created a landscape A2 cardbase from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock and used the border die to cut the bottom of the front panel.  Next I laid out the flowers to determine placement and then took a picture with my cell phone as a reminder of the layout I liked.  Doing this allowed me to determine where to stamp the sentiment from Winnie & Walter The Big, the Bold, and Party in Hero Hues India Ink Black at the top of the card front.  I don’t use this beautiful “birthday” stamp often because it requires a landscape card to accommodate the size.  But it is a stunning sentiment and worked perfectly for this card.

The flowers and leaves were then adhered using a combination of Tombo Mono Multi Glue and 3M ½” Foam Tape.  I have seen a lot of people using black and white striped cardstock or washi tape to accent their cards and so I decided to use Life Style Crafts Shape ‘n Tape Black striped washi, adhering it to the bottom of the inside of the cardbase and loved the way it looked.
