Wish Big Masculine Card

It seems like I go through spurts where I create a lot of masculine birthday cards at one time.  Maybe I just get my masculine mojo working and it’s easier to keep on going.  This card was inspired by the plaid patterned paper from my scraps.  I really like the way it turned out, maybe that’s becaue red is my favorite color.

I stamped one of the cupcakes from the Avery Elle Cupcakes stamp and die onto Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock.  I used colors that complimented the patterned paper, Distress Oxide Fired Brick, Antique Linen, and Twisted Citron.  To add dimension and shadows I used Copic Markers (E19, E08, B95, BG75, BG72; YG95, YG93, YG91, YG23, YG03, YG01; Y38, Y35, YR16; E40; E55).  I then die cut the images with the matching dies and added some Darice Sticky Back Foam to the back.

I created a top folding A2 cardbase from Gina K. Designs Red Velvet Base Weight Cardstock, added a square of the the plaid patterned paper and stamped the sentiment from Papertrey Ink Stylish Sentiments:Birthday with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  I decided to add a strip of blue cardstock as a separation, then I adhered the cupcake with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.  Clear Wink of Stella was added to the frosting and flame, along with a few Pretty Pink Posh Metallic Gold Sequins and the card was done.
