Wish You the Most Beautiful Day Window Card

I have had the Spellbinders Windows 2 die ever since I began purchasing dies, and I’ve never used it.  I decided that I would challenge myself to use some of those things that sit on my shelves collecting dust.  Not sure how often I will use this die, but I really like the way it turned out.

I die cut the window from Neena Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock.  I  wanted it to look like the window was open and so I reinforced the score lines on the shutters.  To make it look more like a window I added a piece of acetate behind the cutout.

The die has a base at the bottom of the window that I decided to make look like a flower box.  But, first I needed to stamp the sentiment from Altenew’s Beautiful Day with Hero Hues India Ink Black.

I die cut a couple of Simon Says Stamp Calliope Flourishes (which I hadn’t used yet either), along with My Favorite Things Fresh Cut Flowers and Wildflower Centerpieces.  I colored them with Copic Markers RV11, RV14, V04, V06, V09, BG15, G24 and then adhered them to the flower box with Ranger Collage Medium.

I die cut the cardstock leftover from cutting the window with a My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle and ink blended it with Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade.  I added very thin strips of 3M 1/2″ Foam Tape to the back of the window and adhered it back in place.

An A2 top folding cardbase was made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock.  I ink blended behind where the window would be with Distress Oxide Broken China.  The window panel was adhered using Kokuyo Dotliner Adhesive.  Little pearls were added to the center of the flowers and the card was done.

I am a very blessed wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. I firmly believe in the quote by Dieter F. Uchtdorf which states "The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human heart." Every day I try to create something that lifts the heart for myself and others.
