I have been so busy this year and then there was a problem with my web site that prevented me from posting my 2018 Christmas cards until now. Every year I make about twelve card designs and then my husband decides which one will be mass produced for the approximately 100 people we sent handmade Christmas cards to, with veto rights from me on the ones that just take too much time. This was the first design.
This is a clean and simple design and very easy to create. I stamped the image from Gina K. Designs Merry and Bright and the sentiment from Gina K. Designs Fruits of the Season with VersaMark Ink onto Gina K. Designs Cherry Red Cardstock and then heat embossed it with Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder. The focal image was die cut using a My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle. I wanted to mat the focal image with gold and so I too a mini VersaMark Pad and inked the edges of a rectangle cut 1/8 larger than the die cut focal image and heat set the same gold embossing powder.
I ink blended the edges of the rectangle with some Gina K. Designs Red Velvet Ink. Adhered the two rectangles together with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive and then glued them to the front of a side folding A2 cardbase made from Gina K. Designs 120# White Cardstock.
